According to the Huffington Post, Nick Milroy, a 73rd Assembly District Representative member in Wisconsin, went to “retrieve some clothes from his office” and was tackled to the ground by police officers (Huffington Post par 2). Their reason? Because the building is closed to keep protesters from staying the night.
Watch closely:
The funniest part of this whole ordeal is that Nick is actually allowed in to the Capitol building, but the police officers didn’t know who he was.
I find this to be a complete squelching of our collective voices as a nation, and for Wisconsin as a state. The building should be opened to any and all people, because people have every right to be in their State Capitol building. I wonder how this will turn out.

Wow really, I can see it now every police officer will be equipped with a small photo book of their Representatives.
Or, they could just not tackle constituents as they enter a public building that is, technically, required to be open for the citizens of Wisconsin to visit as they see fit. Then there would be no need to tackle people at all.
